A quick update. As promised by our immigration officer, we received approval of our I-800 today. That means that our papers should be in Peru by early next week. We're so close to being able to go pick up our little girl!
Anniversary and Biometrics!

Today was a fun day! Although, I'll be honest, we were really hoping to be in Peru by now, snuggling with our little girl. We did however, complete our biometrics appointment with the U.S. Immigration. That makes 7 finger printing sessions in the past 18 months. One would think that after so many screenings the FBI and Immigration would know that we are not criminals, terrorists, or child abusers. I wonder, if every citizen was screened this closely before having children, would we be a better behaved country? Oh well, we just take advantage of these fun little outings and go..... SHOPPING!!! Which leads me to my next thought....

Today was our 7 year anniversary! Ladies, don't be jealous but my husband LOVES to shop with me. Ok, maybe "loves" is not the right word but atleast he tries. I was wondering thru the
children's clothing isle at Burlington Coat Factory when I noticed an obvious lack of husband presence...he had somehow managed to disappear. After about 10 minutes I decided to go looking for him. And this is where I found him...sleeping in a rocking chair in the baby department...
